Production notes

Artists comment: IN OUT: Iran is a silkscreen print in an edition of 50, on rag paper using twelve colours. Its imagery is based on printed material, postcards, and photographs that i have taken. My prints evolve from a full-sized pencil drawing with colour notes. I generally use only one screen, discarding each stencil as the image is built up. Each stencil image is either drawn on acetate with ink or cut from ruby-lith film. It is then held in contact with a screen that has been treated with a light-sensitive emulsion. Both are exposed to ultra-violet light to form a stencil. [Art & Australia, vol. 19, no. 3, Autumn 1982 p. 275]
