In both states the image is printed in black ink, with addition of a cream tint stone.
Craig (1961) page 77, notes some impressions have 'Chase' spelt 'Chace'. He also has a longer imprint, 'Printed & Published by R.V. Hood Hobart Town V.D.L Sept 1848'.
