TO THE EDITOR OF THE SYDNEY GAZETTE.SIR,
Through the medium of your Gazette, I beg leave lo propose to Mr. Earle, that he should strike off a few hundreds Lithographic Prints of our late Governor Sir THOMAS BRISBANE, and by selling them as cheap as possible, enable the poor to procure a likeness of him, who was so generally and highly respected, both as a Ruler and as a Statesman. One thousand copies, at a pound each, would meet with a ready sale. Mr. E. will know whether this hint be worthy of adoption, and through the medium of your Paper ascertain the correctness of my opinion. Yours,
RIGA.
