To Mr E. D. Barlow, Bridge-street.
SIR, - Observing an Advertisement in the 'Herald' yesterday, that is calculated to mislead the Public, I feel bound, in justice to myself, and Mr R. Clint, (who has purchased the whole of my Lithographic Printing Stock, and to whom only I am engaged to give instructions for its use), that the portion of your advertisement which refers to the purchase of a Press and Apparatus on my retirement from the business is in correct, not having sold you any such articles. You will, I trust, after this notice, discontinue the advertisement alluded to.
I remain, Sir,
Yours obediently
J.G. AUSTIN,
O'Connell-street, 8th May 1838.
