View near the Flag Staff. South Head: Showing the spot where the Dunbar was wrecked on the night of the 20th August 1857 [published by Goddard].
Primary Artist
Charles Goddard (1823–1867)
Title
Physical description
Sydney publishers J.R. Clark and Charles Goddard both published a view near the Flag Staff, South Head and a view of the Gap, South Head in 1857. The advertisements link the publication of the views with the recent sinking of the ‘Dunbar’. The Clark views, which appear first, are credited to Edmund Thomas. It would seem that Goddard has copied these works, and selling them at a cheaper price.
