Subject description
View of the Swan River, Western Australia showing the coast at New Holland near Perth and Rottnest Island. In 1696, Willem de Vlamingh on his voyage to Batavia, anchored his two ships before setting off in two longboats to survey the coast. Black swans feature in this image.
