Abstract

The inaugural Adelaide Biennial was a major survey exhibition of contemporary Australian art practice programmed to coincide with the Adelaide Festival. The exhibition focussed on the work of regional artists from varied backgrounds, from all areas of Australia. Thirty-eight artists were represented including six artists from South Australia. (blurb).
