Abstract

Through my artworks I wish to explore the serenity of daily life scenes, urban and rural landscapes. I want to stimulate our reflection of the city, human experience and everyday life itself. I seek to bring together the elements of urban life, to call forth a humanistic spirit and to capture the ephemeral and everlasting life. People and the city, tradition and modernity: they rely on and yet resist each other in continuity.

Through my artworks I search for endless possibilities and encounters with the world and belonging, a connection between mind and matter, self and non-self, exterior and interior, open mindfulness and social reflections. Searching and catching visual materials and images with transcendental emotions, using printmaking as a vital tool. Therefore my exhibition images have transcendental and contemplative ethos, in combination with ancient and contemporary art which has a characteristic of the planet-art. I find the woodcut prints as a medium that that is opening something particular and not merely to reproduce a simple motif…

It is a an artistic medium and technology with potential as an expressive tool, searching beyond the imagination of my contemporary visitors.
