Biography
Doreen Folkerts studied art and batik in Munich Academy of Art in the 1950s and moved to Australia with her family in 1956. She worked for a time in Melbourne as a graphic artist, mural designer and colour consultant then moved to Sydney where she produced linocuts of old buildings in the mid 1960s and exhibited with the Contemporary Art Society. She exhibited batiks, lithographs and linocuts in Geelong and at Meyers in Melbourne in 1968.
