Biography

John Debrett was apprentice to bookseller and publisher, Robert Davis in Piccadilly and from 1780 worked for journalist and publisher, John Almon. He took over this business when Almon retired in 1790. He was the publisher of John White, 'Journal of the Voyage to New South Wales', London, 1790.
