Mitsuo Shoji 

 

Mitsuo Shoji was born in Osaka, Japan, in 1946. From 1965-67 he studied painting, sculpture and basic arts at the Art Institute of Osaka City Museum and from 1967-73 ceramics at Kyoto City University of Fine Arts, graduating with a Master of Fine Arts degree. Since 1973 he has lectured at Caulfield Institute of Technology, Melbourne, East Sydney Technical College, California State University, Eko School of Ceramics and Osaka School of Art, Osaka and the Sydney College of the Arts. He has exhibited extensively since 1970 in Japan, the United States and Australia.
