Biography

John Burnell

John Burnell acquired most of his prints between the two world wars, mostly purchased from Colnargi in London. The majority are from the ‘etching revival’ in England and France, with some old master and Australian examples. His collection of etchings was bequeathed to Monash University in 1967.
