Biography

Born in Melbourne in 1945, Anne Hall studied painting at R.M.I.T. from 1960 until 1963. She held her first solo exhibition at South Yarra Gallery in 1968. This was followed by exhibitions Holdsworth Gallery, Sydney, in 1970, Bonython Art Gallery, Adelaide, 1971 and South Yarra Gallery, Melbourne, 1971. In 1975 a retrospective exhibition was organised at Avant Galleries. Melbourne; and a major exhibition of Hall’s drawings paintings and ceramics was held at the Powell Street Gallery, Melbourne, 1981.
