Biography

William Brookes together with Archibald Currie purchased the Melbourne Paper Company that had been established by Samuel Ramsden near Princess Bridge, Southbank. In 1895 the Australian Paper Mills (A.P.M.) was formed bringing together the Melbourne Paper Company, the Barwon Paper Mill at Geelong, and the Paper Mill at Broadford.
