Milan Milojevic

 

Milan Milojevic was born in Hobart, Tasmania, in 1954 of Yugoslavian/German descent. Between 1972 and 1975 he studied at the Tasmanian School of Art, Hobart, majoring in printmaking. In 1976 he was awarded an overseas travel grant by the Visual Arts Board, and in 1977-78 undertook an apprenticeship as Master-Printer at Landfall Press, Chicago, USA. Since his return to Australia in 1979 Milojevic has held the position of Lecturer in Printmaking at the Canberra School of Art. In 1985 he was awarded a DAAD Grant from the Federal Republic of Germany, and in 1986 received a further overseas travel grant from the Australia Council. Milojevic held his first individual exhibition in 1984.
