Auction notice Launceston Examiner Thursday 7 May 1857 p 4 col 6 (also appeared 28 April 1857 p4 col.6-7) "Mr Lewis Cowen/ Has received insturctions to sell as above, without the slightest reserve, the following very valuable properties which have been bought direct from the crown in the best part of the colony regardless of price./ Township Properties/ Fingal 94 building ALLOTMENTS/ Falmouth, 29 ditto ditto/ Leith, 10 ditto/ Terms very liveral, at sale./ Lithographed plans will be forwarded to the principal hotels in the various localities, from which every information can be obtained./ The auctioneer would also be happy to execute commissions to purchase properties for those who cannot conveniently attend the sale."
