Beatrice Darbyshire

Born Perth, Western Australian on 31 March 1901, Beatrice Jean Darbyshire studied privately with Henri von Raalte (1881-1929) and later at his school. Later she studied in England at the School of Engraving, Royal College of Art, South Kensington under Malcolm Osbourne and Job Nixon. She was awarded her diploma in July 1927 and returned to Australia. She continued etching in Perth until c.l939.
