Biography

Roswitha Wulff was born in 1941 in Tabrize, Iran. In 1964 she gained a ceramics certificate from East Sydney Technical College with teachers including Peter Rushforth and Bernard Sahm. From 1964-65 she gained workshop experience with Robin Welch, Ian Sprague and Les Blakebrough, and in 1966 worked at the Sturt Pottery Workshops, Mittagong, New South Wales. Between 1967 and 1969 she worked in England, Denmark and Germany and was a research scholar at the Smithsonian Institute, Washington, D.C. In 1970 she lectured in ceramics at East Sydney Technical College, then was involved with the Arts Council tutoring programme, and in 1973 received a grant from the Crafts Board of the Australia Council for workshop development.
