Biography
Lisa Stebbing completed a diploma in Art and Design at Prahran, Victoria College in 1988. In recent years she has broadened the printmaking skills she gained during those studies and from 2016 exhibited prints that have evolved from drawing and photographic folios made over many years. Using lithographic and carborundum intaglio methods these drawings are transformed and enriched during the printmaking process. With images focused on both the microscopic and larger environment her folio includes meditations on textural land formations as well as detailed digital patterns constructed from fragments of organic surfaces. The small, delicate fractals are transferred into print using solar plates.
