Biography

Geoff Dyer was born in Hobart, Tasmania in 1947. He studied at the Tasmanian School of Art 1965-68. He taught in Tasmania schools 1969-76 becomming a lecturer at Launceston School of Art before being appointed head of the Departament of Art, Burnie Technical College , 1977-79. Since 1980 he has been a full-time painter. Dyer has been exhibiting in single and multiple-artist exhibitions nationally and internationally since 1970.
