Biography
Rosemary Whitehead
Rosemary Whitehead was born in 1960 and first began weaving in 1973 while still at school. After completing a Bachelor of Arts, majoring in history, at the University of Adelaide in 1979 she went to the United States, taking weaving classes in Nashville and Arrowmost, near Harvard. This was followed by an intensive course in design and weaving at the Arundel Workshops, Great Britain and in 1981-82, with assistance from the Crafts Board of the Australia Council and the South Australian Government, she studied at the Edinburgh College of Art. Rosemary Whitehead now lives and works in Adelaide.
