Print form: The physical form in which the print is presented.

Album
A bound volume with prints or drawings (often by various artists) affixed to the pages.

Artist’s book
A book where the artist has had control of all facets of production. Artist’s books are often ephemeral, associated with conceptual art of the 1960s. They are distinct from Illustrated books, but the usage of the term artist’s book to describe Illustrated books has become common from the late 1990s. (See ARLIS,1989, 0-9501063-7-2)

Illustrated book
A book illustrated by an artist. Usually a deluxe publication containing original graphic work, the books design etc is often by others. They are distinct from Artist’s books, but the usage of the term artist’s book to describe illustrated books has become common from the late 1990s. (See ARLIS,1989, 0-9501063-7-2)

Installation (print)

Prints assembled into sculptural form.

Matrix

The copper plate, lithographic stone, wood block, screen etc. from which a printed image was produced.

Portfolio

A folder, box or case to hold loose sheets of paper.

A printed work used to advertise a cause, product etc.
