This project aims to provide an online catalogue of all prints produced in Australia, prints by expatriate Australians, and prints relating to Australia, from pre-European settlement to the present.
The catalogue will use as its core the Australian print collection of the National Gallery of Australia, the largest and most comprehensive in the country. Further information will come from our partners which will include printmakers, print publishers, print workshops, print collectors, art museums, libraries and other collecting institutions.
The databases have been developed as a service to all those interested in printed images, be they the general public, students, collectors, cultural historians, art museum or other professionals. It is an access initiative of the Gordon Darling Australasian Print Fund.
